We are happy to share the great news!
Our students from the Software Engineering department passed to ICPC World Finals which will be held in October. Students from ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ will participate in the 2019-2020 World Finals which previously was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Whats is ICPC World Finals?
ICPC World Finals is an annual multi-tiered programming competition where the brightest collegial minds of the planet gather to compete in the top tier of the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC). These World Finalists, the top 2% advancing from the ICPC Regionals, are among the best of the best future software engineers, computer scientists, developers, and founders of the mission-critical digital services essential to serve the needs of today’s communities across the globe.
Let's congratulate the team from our university ÐÓ°É´«Ã½-1, which consists of three brilliant minds:
Amangeldi Zhusubaliev,
Azamat Kydyraliev,
Azamat Derkenbaev,
Here's the small interview with their first impression after passing to the final:
"I have always dreamed of getting to the ICPC World Finals because this is the most prestigious competition in sports programming. When I found out that we could go to the final, at first I was in a slight shock. I couldn't believe it, and, to be honest, I still can't believe that we are going there, and with what a composition! The three of us never managed to get together, but now we have a chance to prove ourselves!" - Amangeldi Zhusubaliev.
"For me, the news about the passing to the final was a pleasant surprise, since it is very difficult to pass from our region. It is a great honor for us to participate in the final, which brought together the strongest teams in the world. Now I am full of motivation to prepare for the final." - Azamat Kydyraliev.
"When I found out that I was going to participate in the ICPC World Finals, I couldn't believe it for a long time. The three of us tried to get there for a very long time, and in the end, everything turned out very unexpectedly, and even as part of a team with whom I always dreamed of being there. Now I'm just happy and looking forward to the opportunity to prove myself in the final!" - Azamat Derkenbaev.
On the eve of the final, we would like to wish you success and good luck from the whole ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ family!
