Dr. Tenenan started his lecture by discussing the history of literature and how the further industrialization boom impacted it. Then, he explained how nowadays AI has been used to generate text, and how it has become increasingly difficult to distinguish between human-generated and AI-generated text. He also talked about the potential benefits and drawbacks of using AI in literature.
Ìý
One of the main topics of discussion was Chat GPT, an AI language model developed by OpenAI that can generate human-like responses to text prompts. The audience was fascinated by the possibilities offered by Chat GPT but also raised concerns about its limitations. Some participants pointed out that Chat GPT can only generate text based on existing data sets, which means that it may reproduce biases and stereotypes present in those data sets. Dr. Tenenan believes that AI should be used as a tool to enhance creativity rather than replace human writers.

The lecture ended with a lively Q&A session where participants asked Dr. Tenenan about his views on the future of literature in the age of AI, as well as his thoughts on other applications of AI such as chatbots and virtual assistants. Dr. Tenenan has provided a thought-provoking discussion about the intersection between literature and technology. He also pointed out and analyzed both the potential benefits and challenges posed by AI in different life fields.
